FAQ
-
- QHow can I decided suitable Ultracapacitor for my application?
Please contact the customer support center with information about capacity, voltage, current, and others needed for your application.
-
- QWhat happen if LS Ultracapacitor operate over 65℃?
LS Ultracapacitor is designed to endure temporary high temperature (over 65℃) within a few minutes. But product life will be shorten after exposing to high temperature.
If the products expose to high temperature over certain period of time, product shape can be deformed for safety reason and decreasing product life will be accelerate as time increases. LS Materials recommend to use product within product operating temperature.
-
- QWhat are the things to be cautious while using LS Ultracapacitor?
Please refer to the attached file for caution (English).
-
- QHow do you measure ESR and the capacity?
For ESR and capacity measurement, see the attached Technical Information.
-
- QHow can we calculate energy of Ultracapacitor in Wh?
- You can calculate energy of Ultracapacitor in J(Joule) through below
energy equation for Ultracapacitor
EMAX(J)=1/2CV2 (EMAX: Maximum energy of Ultracapacitor / C: Capacitance of cell or module / V: Rated voltage of cell or module)
EAVAILABLE(J)1/2C(VMAX2-VMIN2) (EAVAILABLE: Available energy of Ultracapacitor / C: Capacitance of cell or module / VMAX/MIN: Maximum or minimum voltage of cell or module)
As 1J=1Ws, energy in Joule fan be can convert to Wh by dividing them in 3600.

- QWhat are things to be noticed while charging the Ultracapacitor for test?
- Try to reduce each cell’s voltage variance when using in series or
parallel. Also, be careful with polarity change of each cells.
