Concept
- The power load pattern of GPUs fluctuates significantly, making it difficult for existing power systems to respond effectively, and potentially causing damage to the power line
- With fast charging/discharging high power characteristics compared to Li-ion Battery, it reliably manages the power load of GPU clusters


Technical Challenge
- The grid power cannot respond fast enough to the rapid fluctuation in GPU load patterns
- This leads to increased risks of voltage drops, surges and arc flashes
- This instability may cause upstream circuit breakers to trip or disrupt power connections
- In the worst-case scenario, it could lead to widespread blackouts, with large-scale consequences

ULTRACAPACITOR Solution
- To reduce the load and respond to peak power demands, charging and discharging tens kW within a few seconds is required
- Multiple charge and discharge cycles are required within a minute, which means approximately 1 million cycles may be needed annually
